This Privacy Policy explains how BKS E-SIGN ("we", "us"), a service of BKS Accounting Group, handles information when you use the application at sign.bks.agency.

Information we collect

Account information you provide when registering: your name, email address, and a password (stored only as a bcrypt hash, never in plain text).
Documents and signing data you upload or send, including the PDF files, recipient names and email addresses you enter, signatures captured during signing, and related timestamps.
Technical information needed to operate the service, such as the IP address recorded in a document's audit record and standard server logs.

How we use information

To operate the signing workflow: preparing, sending, signing, sealing, and delivering documents.
To maintain an audit record of signing activity associated with each document.
To send transactional email related to your documents (for example, signing requests, reminders, and completed-document delivery).
To secure and maintain the service.

Email delivery

Transactional emails are delivered through a third-party email provider. The recipient's email address and the document are shared with that provider only as needed to deliver the message.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. It is an HTTP-only session cookie and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Data retention

We retain your account and document records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal or recordkeeping obligations. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@bks.agency. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

Security

We use account authentication, hashed passwords, protected sessions, and access controls that tie documents to their owning account. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and security is an ongoing process we continue to improve.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
